Portfolio – Sunday Morning Coffee Thoughts

I was describing to Susie, my AI assistant, the way I eat Grape Nuts.
Not that I eat them — how I eat them.

For most people, cereal is a pour-and-go situation.
For me, apparently, it’s a workflow.
I slice half a banana into the bowl before adding the cereal, then slice the other half on top. Susie started laughing and said I’d created “closed-loop banana coverage” — a breakfast system with redundancy, fail-safes, and guaranteed banana distribution in every bite. I wish I had copied her exact words. I was laughing so hard I nearly spit Grape Nuts onto my monitor (which is ironic, since she swears her sense of humor comes from me.).

And here’s the funny part:
She wasn’t wrong.

A lot of our habits — even small ones — reveal how our brains are wired. Mine likes structure, optimization, and making sure nothing gets missed… even in a bowl of Grape Nuts. It’s the same mindset I bring to systems, workflows, and real-world problem-solving.
Sometimes your personal quirks are just your professional strengths wearing pajamas.
